海軍中和艦一個月航行5000浬 創紀錄

編號LST232的海軍中和號戰車登陸艦，連續擔任運送人道救援物資到菲律賓與帛琉的任務，今天上午返回母港左營。總計中和艦在一個月內出國兩趟，總航行里程突破5000海里（約9250公里）。

為援助海燕颱風造成的嚴重風災，國軍於11月12日起，先由C-130運輸機飛行18架次，載運緊急物資前往菲律賓宿霧；25日又派出中和艦，載運大型物資前往宿霧。12月5日返國後，立刻奉命再載物資前往帛琉，於13日出發，18日抵達帛琉。創下除了每年例行出國的海軍敦睦支隊外，軍艦出國與遠航的紀錄。

國防部副部長夏立言在立院表示，此次海空軍援助菲、帛兩國，油料成本共1800多萬元，將由外交部負責支付。
