作家生命教育 學童和甲蟲親密接觸

〔自由時報記者王揚宇／壯圍報導〕「甲蟲從書本走出來！」壯圍鄉新南國小推動閱讀風氣，校方將閱讀教學與鄉土教育結合，邀請「愛打架的獨角仙」作者柯心平，帶數十隻甲蟲到校演講，講述環境、生命教育課程，學生見到書中的昆蟲，有人搶著研究，有的害怕閃躲，都難掩興奮之情。

新南國小校內有「愛打架的獨角仙」一書讓學生閱讀，校方先前已請此書的插畫家到校演講，昨天請來該書作者並帶來赫克力士大兜蟲、竹節蟲、墨西哥紅膝頭毛蜘蛛等十二隻昆蟲，讓學生親密接觸。

二年級的廖哲宇說，因為閱讀讓他知道並愛上甲蟲，沒想到書中的甲蟲，能放在手掌上觀察，而且爬上手臂，那種真實感實在很棒。

柯心平說，偏鄉的生物多樣性較都市高，但偏鄉學童對這些昆蟲或許是習以為常，沒有好好觀察，藉由講座機會提供自己觀察心得讓學童知道，這不僅是研究科學的重要步驟，也希望讓他們對任何事物抱持好奇心。
