經過338天漫長的等待，綠衫軍塞爾提克主控朗多(Rajon Rondo)在上個月復出，不過離開球場將近1年，歸隊後6戰他僅有平均6.7分、5.7助攻的表現，狀況顯然有待調整；在3日迎戰魔術一役，這位明星控衛終於找回火燙手感，以突破8成的命中率砍下本季新高19分、10助攻，表現令人振奮。

綠衫軍王牌控衛朗多上季僅出賽38場，就遭逢右膝十字韌帶撕裂的重傷，賽季提前報銷，本季前40場比賽他也都高掛免戰牌，直到1月18日才正式宣告復出，不過打完6戰，他只繳出平均6.7分、5.7助攻和1抄截的數據，整體命中率更滑落至2成79，而且綠衫軍這6場比賽全都吞下敗仗。

當綠衫軍球迷正在憂心，當家主控何時能恢復明星身手，朗多隨即在3日面對魔術之戰，以優異的表現來回應質疑；他今日上陣27分鐘，就以11投9中攻下19分、10助攻和6籃板，外帶3抄截，還有一記三分球的演出，表現相當全面，更重要的是，他幫助球隊終止近期的4連敗。

此戰綠衫軍團隊命中率高達5成，除了朗多拿下「雙十」數據，中鋒薩林傑(Jared Sullinger)狀況也相當火燙，砍下全隊最高的21分、12籃板，先發5人僅小前鋒格林(Jeff Green)得分沒有上雙，終場塞爾提克以96比89、7分差收下勝利。

綠衫軍主帥史蒂文斯(Brad Stevens)賽後給予朗多很高的評價，「當你有1年的時間沒上場打球，你的投籃手感很可能會『生鏽』，不過歸隊後他已經打了7、8場比賽，他是一位非常、非常棒的射手，他花了很多時間提升自己的投籃，他的數據比過去更出色，看到他把球投進，感覺很棒。」
