「私立希望峰學園」是集合了各領域的超一流高中生， 以培育精英為目的設立的學校，甚至有人說「若能從這所學校畢業， 人生幾乎等於已經成功……」。

主角苗木誠雖然也得到了這所學校的入學許可， 但卻不是靠著什麼出色的才能， 而是以從所有表現平平的學生中抽出一名的「超高中級的幸運兒」 的身份……。　　

然而入學典禮當天，在齊聚一堂的 15 位超高中級學員面前， 卻出現了一位自稱校長的「黑白熊」，告訴他們「 你們這輩子都將只能在此生活。

若想畢業離開學園……就只能想辦法殺死同學， 並設法瞞過其他人的耳目！」　

於是，等待著這群新生的，轉眼間從充滿希望的校園生活， 變成必須賭上生死相互欺騙、 在班級審判中拆穿各種卑鄙殺人手法的「絕望」高中生活。
