遇缺不補警力窘 東縣4分局將裁併

台東縣警方警力在這兩年出現嚴重不足，在遇缺不補的情況下，以過去台東縣警察局員警人數約在1500人左右，如今僅有千人上下，造成台東轄區各分局警力嚴重短缺情形，對原鄉地區派出所的運作影響很大。

在台東縣議會在第17屆第七次定期大會中，有議員就曾質詢警察局長希望讓在外服務的鄉親能夠返回台東服務，局長答覆則表示這是全面性的問題，現階段很難改善。

基層員警表示，基層派出所的裁併對基層員警的工作不會有多大的改變，主要是部落對派出所在社區有存在的需求，一旦有事要找派出處理不用到很遠的地方求助。

台東縣警察局轄區內的大武、台東、成功、關山四個分局轄區裁併派出所的措施已在進行，成功分局從去年也開始進行合併派出所的措施，但目前警力遇缺不補，居民憂心社區安全的問題已浮出檯面。
