【大紀元2013年05月25日訊】為慶祝每年5月的亞太傳統月，由「大費城泛亞裔協會」（The Pan Asian Association of Greater Philadelphia）主辦的第七屆慶祝活動於5月18日(星期六)在費城華埠附近的福蘭克林公園(Franklin Square Park)舉行。來自中國、日本、菲律賓、印度、韓國、泰國、越南等亞太地區國家的許多民間團體，展示了他們民族特有的藝術、工藝品、音樂、美食等，為費城市民了解亞太各國傳統文化開啟了一個窗口。

亞太傳統月始於1990年。當年，老布什總統將美國亞太裔傳統周擴展為傳統月。兩年後，美國國會通過法律正式予以認可，確定5月為美國亞太裔傳統月。賓州州長於2007年在費城啟動亞太裔傳統月的慶祝活動，得到民眾的廣泛支持。
