REFILE - CLARIFYING SECOND SENTENCE
A fisherman stoops beside an investigator as they inspect the Guang Ta Hsin 28 fishing vessel during an investigation of the vessel after its arrival at Liuqiu in Pingtung County, southern Taiwan May 11, 2013. A Philippines fisheries official said one of its vessels, acting under the threat of being rammed, opened fire on Thursday on Guang Ta Hsin 28 fishing vessel about 170 nautical miles southeast of Taiwan, killing one person on board. The Philippines agreed on Friday to investigate the shooting death of the fisherman after criticism from Taipei and Beijing, but pledged increased efforts to prevent further incursions in its territorial seas.
