《湯瑪士小火車》蒸汽火車將首度現身亞洲 明年夏季於日本開始運行

　　位於日本静岡縣的大井川鐵路，預定將於明（2014）年的夏季推出《湯瑪士小火車》的蒸汽火車。

　　《湯瑪士小火車》的誕生源自於一位熱愛鐵路的英國牧師 Wilbert V. Awdry，他為生病的兒子所創作的繪本故事，故事取材於他兒時聽火車穿越鐵路時、想像火車彼此間的交談內容。在 1945 年，湯瑪士的故事首次被發行成書，之後更接連推出 40 餘冊的繪本，每年締造約 5 千多萬元台幣銷售佳績。而到了 1984 年被相中製作成卡通播出後，湯瑪士更搖身一變成了家喻戶曉的卡通。現在湯瑪士的卡通已經在全球以 45 國語言在 150 個國家播放。

  • 曾在英國推出的湯瑪士號

　　官方預計將運用 C11-227 的車型進行改裝，每日將於新金谷至千頭間推出一班往返的火車，過去《湯瑪士小火車》也曾於發源的英國推出可搭乘的湯瑪士號，而這次是首度在亞洲地區推出這樣的蒸汽火車，更多詳細的資訊將於日後陸續發表。
