日本太平洋島國峰會選定在福島召開

福島

福島核電站在3·11大地震中發生事故。

日本外務大臣岸田文雄周六（10月26日）表示，2015年太平洋島國峰會最終會址選在福島縣。

太平洋島國論壇的16國外長此刻正在東京開會，討論太平洋峰會的籌備事宜。

岸田文雄在和各國外長舉行會談之後，宣佈了2015年太平洋峰會會址所在地定在福島縣的磐城市，距離福島核電站約40公里。

日本官員表示，邀請海外國家首腦在福島縣參加國際性論壇，會對受災嚴重的福島縣重建工程做出巨大貢獻。

福島核事故

日本東北海岸2011年3月遭受強烈地震襲擊，福島核電站受地震波及反應爐爐心熔毀，釋放出放射性物質到環境中。

日本舉辦的太平洋島國峰會主要圍繞地域開發和環境問題，自1997年開始，每3年舉行一次，至今共舉行了6屆。

上屆2012年的太平島國峰會在沖繩舉行，日本承諾在三年內向太平洋島國提供高達5億美元的援助。

和日本一樣，澳大利亞，新西蘭也以援助國的身份參加峰會。
