（法新社洛杉磯10日電） 美國密蘇里大學美式足球員沙姆（Michael Sam）公開出櫃後，今天受到總統歐巴馬夫婦等人力挺，不過也引發外界熱議，這樣的開誠布公對他剛要起步的運動生涯可能造成何種衝擊。

密蘇里大學美式足球防守邊鋒沙姆昨天接受美國有線電視體育專業頻道（ESPN）和「紐約時報」（NYT）訪問時，透露自己是同性戀。他可能是職業美式足球NFL首位公開出櫃的球員。

由於外界一般認為，NFL文化向來對同性戀充滿敵意，美國總統歐巴馬、第一夫人蜜雪兒和超級盃最有價值球員西雅圖海鷹（Seahawks）線衛史密斯（MalcolmSmith）等都推文，盛讚沙姆的真誠坦率。

歐巴馬推特官方帳號推文寫道：「恭喜沙姆開先鋒。」蜜雪兒則稱沙姆「啟發所有人」。

不過，史密斯推文承認，聯盟對沙姆的接受度有待觀察。

他寫道：「美國體壇不容許偏執行為，改變這樣的文化需要勇氣。」
