工人安裝電梯意外摔死　雇主被判緩刑2年

2012年8月10日，電梯安裝工程謝姓業者，偕用2名雇員前往基隆市關稅局六堵分局，執行安裝電梯設備，其中1名陳姓雇員不慎從4樓高墜落地下1樓貨梯坑內，送醫不治。本月10日法院依業務過失致死罪判處謝男有期徒刑3月，緩刑2年。

法院調查，陳男站在4樓貨梯頂部進行拆除貨梯軌道時，不慎踩空墜落地下1樓貨梯坑內，由於貨梯頂部未設置防護蓋，且謝男也未督促陳男配帶安全帽及安全帶，導致意外發生，死者女兒憤而提告。
