太陽系最大火山　藏在太平洋海底

【綜合報導】美國科學家發現，太平洋海底存在著太陽系內最大火山，面積大概是英國加上愛爾蘭的大小。

德州A&M大學研究指出，這座海底火山名為「Tamu Massif」，位在日本以東1600公里處，是太陽系內最大的火山。這座火山在1.44億年前形成，覆蓋面積達31萬平方公里，而它的高度則達3.5公里，但相信它已經不再活躍。
