主計總處公布最新平均薪資53689元比15年前還低，大學起薪只比國中多279元。

根據財政部財政資訊中心100年綜合所得稅申報資料的統計顯示，所得最高的5%家庭平均年所得為463.5萬元，最低5%家庭平均年所得為4.8萬元，所得差距高達96.56倍，再創歷史新高紀錄。
根據財政資訊中心統計，100年度的綜所稅申報戶共有566.3萬戶，如果按所得高低分成20等分，所得最高的5%家庭平均年所得為463.5萬元，最低5%家庭平均年所得為4.8萬元，兩者之間的所得差距高達96.56倍。
一般來說，國際間通用的貧富差距大多以「五等分位差距倍數」與「吉尼係數」來衡量，根據行政院主計總處去（101）年8月公布100年家庭收支調查結果，100年全體家庭所得總額為9兆2,166億元，較99年增加4.6%，每戶可支配所得高低將戶數分為5組，100年最高20%家庭為182.7萬元，較99年增加2.2%，最低20%家庭每戶為29.6萬元，也增加2.7%，差距6.17倍，較99年的6.19倍縮減0.02倍，但仍為歷年次高，吉尼係數0.342，與99年相當。
至於以報稅資料來觀察所得，較無法真實反映的原因，主要是不少有錢人有許多節稅管道，甚至不納入綜所稅申報的所得，而將報稅所得分為20等分所計算出來的差距倍數，自然會較5等分計算出來的結果明顯高出許多。
