遊戲公司 EA 早前針對二手遊戲的買賣而引入了 Online Pass 這個東西，但因遭到不少的反對聲音而決定放棄。早前他們已決定不在新遊戲中加入 Online Pass，但 Game Informer 剛剛又收到 EA 通知，指出他們亦打算把以往遊戲的 Online Pass 一同砍掉。EA Sports 的遊戲將會首先去除 Online Pass，而其他遊戲的 Online Pass 則會暫時存在但顯示為免費，直至他們大砍的工程完成為止，相信在幾個星期內就完成了。
